A few decades ago, it was possible to carry out STS transfers, mainly as lightering for reaching Greek Ports as final destinations, where we as agents did handle most of the operations. After incidents which caused the tightening of Greek authorities’ stance in this regard, such operations have not been allowed for the past 10 years within the Greek Territorial waters but rather STS transfers have been carried out at International Waters. In both cases and as situation is rather dynamic in regards to how authorities both in Greece and worldwide treat such operations, we are in position to assist and provide the most up to date info and assistance to interested parties.
